Privacy Policy

Closetbook is a product of CAMMY LLC. This document is being prepared from the company's existing Privacy Policy and will be published, with an effective date, before the first outside user signs in. Until then Closetbook is in private beta.

Draft: shop links

Shop links on shared pages may be routed through an affiliate network (currently Skimlinks or Sovrn Commerce). When a visitor clicks one, the network records the click and sets a cookie in that visitor's browser so the shop can credit a later purchase to Closetbook. Closetbook passes the network an identifier for the shared page, never the visitor's name or email. Closetbook keeps its own count of clicks per shared page so the person who shared it can see them and be paid a share. Visitors can decline cookies in their browser; the shop links still work.

Draft: wear data and brand reports

When you log what you wore, Closetbook stores the pieces, the date, the city and that day's weather. When you add a piece you can add what you paid, its size and how it came. Closetbook uses this to show you cost per wear and to suggest outfits.

Closetbook may sell reports to brands and retailers built from anonymous totals across its users, such as how often a product is worn in its first 90 days, what it is worn with, and in which cities. A total is only reported when it covers at least 50 people. Reports never contain names, email addresses, individual closets, photos, or any location finer than a city, and nobody who gave the age range 13–17 is counted. You can leave brand reports at any time under Me › Your data; from then on nothing of yours is counted in them.

You can download everything Closetbook keeps about you under Me › Your data, and delete your account and all of it under Me.
